Cornering lights on the BMW 1 Series (five-door).

The cornering lights complement the optional Adaptive Headlights and feature two separate light sources within the headlight units. Up to a certain speed, they are activated automatically when the indicator lever is used or the steering wheel turns. The area to the side of the car then lights up to considerably increase safety when turning or manoeuvring.
